It took us a year, but we finally got around to a house cleansing and blessing of our new home, and decided to throw in a witch bottle for good measure!
It was the first time I did a witch bottle, but I think we did ok. We used local West Coast sage to cleanse the home, and in the witch bottle, we used pins, string, red wine to bind negative energy, and a few drops of cedarwood essential oil for protection. I didn’t have a black candle to seal it so we used white, probably not the best but its all I had.
May the goddess bless this home, making it sacred and pure, so that nothing but love and joy shall enter through this door.

I used some books as inspiration, namely Everyday Witchcraft (Blake) and The Circle Within (Sylvan). I’m also reading some books on ritual structure and writing good ritual, which I’m hoping to write about later.
